The Compulsive Planker
Scene 1: Zoom in on clock, clock shows Tom (Scott) is late for school, he puts headphones in and we hear the music he is playing (fast paced music) and he almost reaches the school, then bumps into the bullies at his school (music stops).
Scott: (Wakes up, looks at clock, tries to sleep again, quickly realises he is late) Oh crap!
(Puts headphones in and heads for the front door, we hear the music from his headphones)
(Next few shots taken from distance, showing him quickly running to school)
(Mid-Running scenes, Scott runs into a lamp post, music put on hold and close up of Scott in pain, gets back up and starts running, when he runs, zoom in on back. He fell in dog pooh)
Bully 1: (Spots Tom running towards him) Hey guys (looking around at his friends) look at this chickhead running towards us.
Bully 2: Chick?
Bully 1: Yeah! You know, he’s a chick head, I heard you guys saying it earlier ha-ha!
Bully 2: You mean DICK, not CHICK.
Bully 1: Yeah, that does make more sense...Nice one man! (Smiles and nods at bully 2)
(Bullies block Tom’s path)
Bully 2: (Scott approaches bullies) Where do you think your going? (Chuckles at his own joke)
Ryan: Yeah! Where you going? (Also chuckles at own joke)
(Bully 1 and 2 look round at him because he is simple minded)
Scott: Well, I’m running towards the school your right in front of, I’m wearing my uniform and I have my school bag, but you’re blocking my way...so, I guess I’m going to the zoo. (Sarcastic voice) Where do you think ya pillock?
Ryan: Why are you going to the zoo? (Other bullies nod there head at him because of the stupid comment)
Bully 1: (Pins Tom against a wall) don’t get lippy! Baby boxers.
Bully 2: (laughs at the group leaders joke) Yeah, baby boxers.
Ryan: Yeah! These are real man pants! (Pulls down trousers to reveal action man pants)
Michael: Hey guys, why not give this kid a break, aye?
(Bullies look at each other and nod heads, see the view of the strange child, the bullies grab him)
End Scene
Scene 2: They go and get cleaned up, and then a general conversation starts. Scott questions Michael about why he isn’t going to school, Michael then admits he got kicked out but was ashamed to say why.
(Camera is at a medium shot of us washing our faces)
Scott: Well, thanks for TRYING to help.
Michael: Its ok buddy: Oh! And I’m Michael by the way, but you can call me Mr Z.
Scott: Mr...Z?
Michael: Oh, yeah, that’s what they call me back in da’ hood.
(Tom looks intrigued and smirks at the strange comment)
Scott: Oh yeah? What part of “The hood” are you from “Mr Z”?
Michael: Well, London of course silly... (Under his breath to himself, zoom in on face)What a silly question. Hehehe
Scott: Yeah, I know that. (CU on face) I meant what part of London?
Michael: Downing Street.
Scott: Where the prime minister lives? Ok then...Anyway, thanks for trying to help...actually, why weren’t you going to school?
Michael: (Flashback of bullies setting Mr Z up with wires around to wreck the room when somebody trips) I don’t want to talk about it. (Shivers)
Scott: Oh, ok then. Fair enough. I don’t really feel up to going to school anymore to be honest.
Michael: Let’s go explore the local area and take in its lovely delights.
Scott: Yeah, sounds like a plan, I’ll just get changed.
(Walking down a street)
Michael: Hey Tom, have you ever seen anyone do this?
(Michael planks on a bench)
Scott: Do you have any idea how stupid you look Zee?
Michael: well I’d like to see you do it better.
Scott: bet you (Shuffles around in pocket, pulls out £2 coin) £2 I could do it for longer than you!
Michael: Ok, you’re on (Chuckles) (Zooms in on face) this is the easiest £2 I ever made!
(Montage of us planking, then Michael falls)
Michael: WOW! You have some real talent there buddy!
Scott: (Still planking) really? That’s the first time I heard that, especially from somebody of your status!
Michael: Well then, let’s get training!
Scott: What are you talking about, training?
(Michael smirks with camera zoomed in on his face)
End Scene
Scene 3: Quick montage of the main character training to plank, with his trainer Mr Z motivating him massively, but the process is terribly disrupted when the main character falls 2 inches off the ground and slightly his knee.
(Show loads of clips of Scott (Tom) planking in different places. There is a fast paced music playing and it continues throughout the montage)
Scott: OOOOWWW!
Michael: Oh my God! Are you ok? Can you still plank? Oh my, OH MY...This is terrible, what will we do now?
(Scott has a pain ridden face and holds his knee, he removes his hands, close up of knee then shows it is just a little cut)
Scott and Michael: AAAAAGGGGHHHH!
Michael: OH MY GOOOOOOOD! IT’S BLEEEEDING!
Scott: (Crying) I’m sorry Mr Z, I ruined it....this was all just a waste of time...I wouldn’t blame you for walking away right now...
Michael: (Also crying) Don’t you worry about a thing Tom, we’ll get through this...Together....I’ll never leave somebody with as much talent as you, however bad your injury is....This is just a set-back!
Scott: (Still looks in pain) Ok Mr Z, you have so much faith in me...your a great trainer...but an even better friend (Smiles)
(Close up of Michael smiling down at Scott)

Pitch Script
Michael-Hello, I’m Michael...
Scott-And im Scott...
Michael-And were from mass media. We are here today to present to you the new film idea we have of “The Compulsive Planker”
Scott- the basic storyline is that there is a teenage boy who hasn’t got a plan for his future until he realises he has a natural talent, for planking. When the craze first started he would explore the local area looking for places to plank
Michael-The young boy knows that it will be a struggle, but he feels that planking should be an official sport and in the Olympics, and so he practises and practises until he cant handle the pain.
Scott- In the end, the struggle will have paid off and the young boy becomes the best Planker known to man as he planks for England in the Olympics and wins gold.
Michael-We will make sure that there are funny bits in the film as well as dramatic scenes, making it both comedy and drama like the film run fat boy run, which was one of our inspirations for the film.
Scott-We will now take any questions you may have.

Problems
we are unable to start editing our film as we have no computer with the correct softwear to be able to. the reason why we cant is because the classroom is currently having work done on the roof. we have finished most of the tasks including questions and filming. we have been able to do all the tasks even with the problems we have had on the way.
We have now finished filming the video using loads of different shots. We now need to edit the footage to make it "flow" well. We may need to shorten some of the clips as we filmed them longer than they needed to be because we wanted to be sure that it is the right length and we didnt cut off any of the dialogue or action. Stephen is the person most likely to do the editing as he has the most skills on photoshop, which means that he is good with ideas and knows roughly what everything does.

scott's turn!
we hit a few problems during the course of filming our preliminary, such as michael getting a paper cut to the camera running out of battery. we overcame these problems but then had the mammoth task of editing the video and saving the files onto the computer. we had another problem when the files did not work on a different computer and it didnt work, this was another set back as we had to wait until lunch time so we could upload our project onto the computer. we are just coming up to the end of the project and are nearing completion of all editing, we now need to answer questions and keep on track to make sure we do not fall behind in the next task.

Filming takes.
As a whole, the filming has been successful, the different takes took time but we have configured the right camera angles to have an offective shot. For example we have taken shots of the door begining to open as an cloose up and then moved into the shot of the actor walking into the room from the shot. To add the effect of the person entering the room, but also to add an close up, to add more differenciation in shots.
After the time we have been shotting we have found some mistakes which we have changed through editing the clip.
