Risk Assessment

In our film we will have to assess several factors which show a cause for concern in the health and safety aspect.
Risk assessment 1; our first area for a risk evaluation would be in the running scene. The actor will be recorded as he runs down the road; we would have to check the paths for hazards/obstructions. An example of a hazard could be that there is a small gathering of wet leaves on the floor which could lead to the subject slipping as he runs past. An obstruction which could be classed as a hazard could be a bin on the path.
Risk assessment 2; another aspect we will have to show precaution to, is driveways as if we are obstruction a driveway then we may receive complaints from the owner. This is also a hazard as the subject is running with his ear-phones in. If a car is reversing out their drive then it may be a blind spot and may fail to stop for the runner. Likewise, the runner may not see the car and not stop.
Risk assessment 3; others around you. This could be a risk as if you fail to see them when running you could run into them and injury them or yourself, we will take extreme care to avoid this when the runner runs past a corner or alley to make sure no-one will get hurt.
Risk assessment 4; the alleys in which I plan to run through are cobbled, uneven and have many trip hazards. I will have to take extra care and analyse where I will be stepping, also there are slip hazards from where the rain fails to drain away so it leaves a slippery surface.

Our General Storyline

Black screen with phone ringing, then see phone vibrating, Scott picks phone up and answers it, it has Michaels name appear.
Scott answers very friendly (They are both friends and colleagues) and asks about later plans together.
Michael’s in a panicked voice because his undercover state has been found out. Scott informs him he’s on his way; don’t do anything that could be classed as stupid.
Michael says don’t be stupid, I can handle it on my own. Here criminal’s voice threatens to kill him. Shows Scott on phone, and we hear what he hears, a gunshot, then silence.
Scott runs to back up Michael and on the way bumps into the stranger which later on turns out to be the killer, scoot apologises and continues running, gets to Michael, calls an ambulance and vows that he will get the criminal, if it’s the last thing he does.

New Idea

Me and Scott decided that as we are behind the deadline, we need to make a new idea so that it will be easier to film. Our new idea would only need me, Scott and one more volunteer, where as the old idea needed lots of different people to be ready at the same time. Our new idea is that there is an undercover police officer, chasing down a drug dealer, but his cover gets found out. He then gets advice from somebody back at the office, but mid phone call, there is a gun shot. The twist that would later be revealed is that Michael is the first person to actually see the criminal, as he is a very professional and well hidden drug dealer, so when Scott comes to help, he bumps into the dealer and apolaogizes for it. He then turns up to the scene to find Michael dead. He then realises that the person he bumped into was actually fleeing the crime scene, and feels bad that he missed his chance to catch him.
